Matter, light, and me

I am Nadine Obas, a self-taught painter of Haitian origin, based in Quebec. Since 2002, I have been creating works where colours, reliefs and emotions meet.

Portraits, nature, and symbolic universes nourish my approach. I incorporate different materials into my paintings and, in some works, effects that are revealed under UV light.
